During your CoolSculpting treatment, a cooling applicator will be applied to the desired area of fat reduction, and gentle vacuum pressure will be utilized to draw the tissue between the cooling panels, where delicately controlled cooling energy will target and destroy fat cells while leaving healthy adjacent tissue unharmed. The cooling process initiates a natural response from the body that results in a gradual elimination of the treated fat cells, and an overall fat layer reduction of approximately 25%.
You may notice CoolSculpting’s fat-reducing results as soon as three weeks after your treatment; however, you will observe the most dramatic results in approximately two months, and will see continued improvement for the next 4-6 months.
Unlike many body contouring procedures, CoolSculpting is very easy to conveniently schedule into your busy life. Each treatment lasts about one hour—many patients schedule CoolSculpting treatments during their lunchtime break, and return to work immediately thereafter. During the first few minutes of your treatment, you will feel intense cold and pressure; however, this will quickly subside. Patients often elect to read, take a nap, or work on their laptop during their treatment. Following treatment, some patients experience temporary redness or bruising in the treatment area, which typically fades over the next few hours.
